Struggling to stay ahead, Cole’s anger explodes.  Nothing is sacred when it comes to keeping his love—not even covenants made with gods.  But, through all his efforts, lofty or damned, the truth remains.  Will echoes of another life cause him to fail?

Interview with the Author:

Who is Charlene A. Wilson?

This should really be an easy question, but it’s not. Lol. As I thought about this, and all kinds of answers came to mind, I realized I could boil it down to one thing.  Charlene A. Wilson is a dreamer. From the time I was little, my imagination carried me to wherever I wanted to go, gave me everything I wanted to have, and became any kind of friend I wanted.
Of course, reality rules life and I took employment at many settings—from daycare to detention deputy.  I’m a mother of two beautiful daughters and live in a small community in Arkansas.  But I still imagine friends in far-away places.  Now, though, I write them down and share them with others.

Where did you get your inspiration from for Cornerstone Deep Echoes?

When I wrote Cornerstone Deep, I knew there would have to be more books to follow.  It was the first in the Chronicles of Shilo Manor series, and to be honest, could have gone on to take in Cornerstone Deep Echoes.  There was so much more behind what happen and book two dives right into it.
The core of the Cornerstone Deep books came from a dream that never left me.  It was striking, the details, emotion, and personalities.  I had to write it down.

How long have you been writing?

I’ve been writing since I was a teen.  My poor friends had to put up with me pushing my stories on them.  Luckily, they didn’t seem to mind at all.  In fact, about a year ago, I ran into one of those old friends.  I hadn’t seen her since we graduated High School.  She told me she remembered a little story I wrote called Misty Moon.  She would even tell it to her children when they were little.  That was one of the most wonderful things in the world to me.

Do you ever have problems with writers block?  If so how do you get through it?

I do.  Sometimes the words just won’t come out.  Sometimes it helps to shift gears and write something totally off genre for me…a short story or poem.  Other times, it helps to sit my characters down and write a skit with them.  Put them in a situation to overcome or just let them relax with a cordial.  Lol.

While working on a story, do you write directly onto the computer or are there notebooks and plot ideas jotted down in various places?

Most of the time I’m right in front of my computer.  But, of course, inspiration can hit at any time and I jot ideas on whatever is available.  Plot ideas, scenes, conversations between characters, and one-liners are all over my work space and I’ve even found some in my car.

Do you have any future releases at Class Act Books we should watch for?

Cornerstone Deep Destiny is in the outlining stage right now.  It will be book three in the Chronicles of Shilo Manor series.  We’ll see. *smile*

What do you do when you’re not writing/editing or thinking about writing/editing?

I’m a mother of two active teens.  So, my non-writing time revolves around being Taxi-Mom right now.  Lol.  Cheerleading and Band can keep a family going.  Ever try to learn a cheer when your pushing…well, when you’re my age?  Not pretty.  And I’ve tried my hand at the French Horn.  It sounded like a sick goose.   But, I love being involved and watching them grow and experience life.

If you had one piece of advice for all those writers sitting out there procrastinating about making that first submission what would it be?

Believe in yourself.  My favourite saying is, “Believe in the magic that’s in you, its potential, what it can achieve.  But, most of all, believe in yourself and create a world where dreams become reality.”

Tell us about the main characters in Cornerstone Deep.

Cole Shilo is a total romantic.  It’s painfully obvious he’s led by his heart instead of his head…which can be very detrimental since he’s the head of the Sentinel family that was sent to observe Cornerstone Deep.  On the surface he’s a moody grump.  Unless Mianna is involved, of course.

Mianna is a pure hearted soul.  She grew up in an Arylin colony, a large city dedicated to worshipping the Goddess of Love.  But her life changes forever when she wakes up to realize she’d already lived out her life and even died four hundred years ago.  Not only did she lose her family overnight, she’s faced with living the life of Anna, her reincarnation.  Sound complicated?  It is.  Temporal displacement is never easy.

Lord Dressen is the senior Grand Marshal set on having Anna for his own.  His obsession grows even more when he realizes who he really is.  Nothing is going to stop him…not even Cole Shilo.
